Moving a hot tub to a vacation home often puts the owner, the property and the delivery crew in different places. Make access and decision-making explicit so the provider does not arrive at a locked gate or a site that nobody can approve.
Name the destination contact
Choose a person who can confirm the route, meet the delivery if needed and authorize the agreed placement. Give them the model information, final-position plan and relevant contractor contacts.
Confirm how keys, gates and building access are arranged. Do not assume that a caretaker knows the spa's installation requirements just because they manage the property.
Survey the property before choosing the date
Get measurements and current photographs of the vehicle approach, gates, turns, steps and surfaces. Identify access restrictions and what changes when the property is occupied or other work is taking place.

- Who maintains the water if the property is empty?
- Who can respond if the spa stops operating?

Keep information accessible to the people involved
Store the manual, model details, condition photographs and commissioning records where the owner and responsible caretaker can find them. Pass on the current water-care system and products, not an unsorted box of old chemicals.
