For moving, the useful starting measurements are the spa's length, width, height and manufacturer dry weight. For the new foundation, the relevant load also includes water and occupants. Keep those two purposes separate.
Seat count is not a reliable substitute for a weight or dimension specification. Different models with the same nominal capacity can have different cabinets, shells and equipment.
Identify the exact model
Find the model and year and record the serial label where safely accessible. Look for the matching owner's manual or technical specifications. If you are unsure which document applies, ask the dealer rather than using a similar-looking tub's numbers.[3]
Tell the provider if the model is unknown, the specification cannot be found or the spa has been modified. An honest gap can be assessed; a guessed weight can mislead the handling plan.
Measure the complete object
Record the widest parts of the cabinet and any cover, lifter or attachment that remains in place. Include protruding fittings that affect an opening. Ask which accessories can be removed before using a smaller transport dimension.
Write down which measurement includes which attachment. Do not assume that a brochure dimension includes the equipment or packaging used for your move.

Bullfrog's Calm foundation guidance explicitly includes the spa, water and users in the support requirement.[12] A deck that can hold the empty tub during placement is not automatically suitable for operation.
Add the route measurements
Record the narrowest gate or doorway, overhead limits, tight corners, steps and surfaces. Ask the provider about the extra space needed by equipment and people. Hot Spring notes that dolly height must be considered for overhead clearance.[1]
Repeat the survey at the destination. Use the route-mapping guide when there are several restrictions in one path.
Put the information where it can be discussed
Enter the requested spa dimensions in the quote form and describe unusual attachments, known damage or an unavailable weight specification in the move details. Keep model documents and photographs available for follow-up.
