MOVING GUIDES

Keeping people and property clear on moving day

Keep people, pets and property clear during a spa move by agreeing the work area, access control, contact person and process for changed conditions.

On moving day, an owner's most useful role is keeping the agreed access and decision-making clear. Let the assessed handler control the moving work. Avoid creating a second plan with bystanders, extra helpers or last-minute instructions.

Keep the loading and walking routes available

Move ordinary furniture, planters, toys and other loose items out of the agreed path before the crew arrives. Keep the proposed vehicle position free and arrange access through locked gates.

Do not change a fixed barrier or add a temporary bridge without agreement. The route and equipment should still match the provider's assessment.

Control the work area

Keep children, pets, guests and unnecessary bystanders away from the route and loading space. Tell other contractors or household members which areas need to remain clear.

Do not stand beside a heavy moving load to take a closer photograph or offer an unplanned push. Hot Spring warns against trying to move a spa yourself.[1] Let the provider decide who is involved in handling.

Use one contact for instructions

  • Choose the owner or property representative who can confirm the agreed plan.
  • Keep the destination contact and trade details available.
  • Make sure the handler has the model information and route notes.
  • Record a proposed change before instructing a different finish position.
  • Use the named provider contact if something needs reassessment.

Several people giving different placement instructions can create confusion even when the physical route is open.

Report changes before the work starts

Tell the provider about new damage, wet or disturbed ground, an unavailable gate or a changed destination. Do not wait until the tub has been lifted to explain the issue.

Use the route-alternatives checklist if the described route no longer works. Reassessment may change equipment, permissions, timing or scope.

Keep specialist work outside the handling area

Confirm that the agreed shutdown and hardwired disconnection are complete before transport. That work belongs with the appropriate electrician or spa service representative.[1] Do not try to undo wiring while the moving crew waits.

If the destination's installation is unfinished, decide whether the agreed placement can proceed or whether the schedule needs to change. Foundation support and electrical readiness are separate checks.[12]

Leave arrival inspection possible

Keep the service side accessible and allow time to compare condition photographs before furniture or surrounding work hides the spa. Confirm the cover and loose accessories at the handoff.

The move-day owner checklist organizes those short checks. Use the arrival guide before filling or starting the spa, and the coordination guide if the plan needs updating after the booking.
