A professional spa move should follow an assessed plan for the actual unit and route. The owner can help by knowing the scope, making access available and keeping the condition record ready.
Confirm the stages included in your provider's agreement before pickup, including work assigned to other trades.
The arrival conversation checks the agreed job
The handler should have the model information and route description used for assessment. Point out known damage, critical measurements and any change since the price was agreed.
If the gate, ground, vehicle position or finish location is different, have the plan reassessed before the tub is handled.
Preparation needs a clear handoff
Confirm which agreed shutdown, draining and accessory tasks are complete. Hardwired disconnection belongs with an appropriate electrician or spa service representative.[1]
For cold exposure or storage, pass on the model-specific preparation record. An apparently empty shell does not prove that hidden water has been addressed.[2]
The handler controls the work area and method
Keep loose obstacles, pets and bystanders clear and use one authorized contact for owner instructions. Do not add helpers or start moving the tub ahead of the assessed handling plan.
Ask any questions about support, orientation or equipment during planning, while the unit is safely in place. The equipment questions are useful before the appointment, not as an invitation to design a lift beside a moving load.
Transport and separate items stay accounted for
- Identify who has custody during the journey.
- Confirm the cover, steps and agreed accessories traveling separately.
- Keep packing or storage requirements with the scope.
- Retain the pickup condition record.
- Keep the destination contact available for the handoff.
If another carrier or specialist is involved, confirm the point at which responsibility transfers.
Placement should match the ready site
Check the agreed finish position and equipment-door orientation. The foundation and service access should have been resolved before delivery; manufacturer guidance treats those as installation requirements.[12]
Compare condition at arrival before surrounding finishes or furniture hide inspection points. Report a concern through the agreed process rather than assuming every visible mark appeared in transit.
Startup follows placement, not the other way around
Arrange the electrical connection and model-specific filling and priming sequence after the installation is ready. A transport handoff alone does not confirm that the spa can be used.
Use the arrival checklist and first-week checks for those final stages. Read the scope guide if the provider's description leaves responsibility for any of them unclear.
