A useful hot tub moving quote is based on a description of the actual work. These ten details help a provider see what needs assessment and make competing prices easier to compare.
The ten details
- The exact spa. Give the brand and model where known and say when the manual or dry-weight specification is unavailable. Seat count is not a weight measurement.
- Complete dimensions. Record length, width and height and identify attachments that affect clearance. Ask what can be removed before using a smaller figure.
- Existing condition. Describe known cracks, leaks, loose panels or a damaged base and have photographs available. Do not hide a condition issue until pickup.
- Pickup vehicle access. Identify the loading position, parking restrictions and distance from the tub. A clear backyard does not guarantee vehicle access.
- Openings and turns. Measure clear gate width and show approach and exit space. Include overhead limits and the height added by equipment.[1]
- Steps and surfaces. Describe thresholds, slopes, soft ground, gravel and drainage channels. The handling method needs the whole route.
